Question 76905: Help! I'm stuck. The question is: In the xy-coordinate plane, the graph of x = y squared - 4 intersects line "l" at (0,p) and (5,t). What is the greatest possible value of the slope of "l"? When I plugged in the p and t coordinates to get the full coordinates, I got a slope of 1/5, so I thought maybe -5 would be the slope of an intersecting line. Can someone help? Thanks.

Question 80918: Trying to help my son with this problem. Which is an equation of the line with Slope 2/3 that passes through the point (4, -1). Could you please show the steps. I'm stumped on this one. Choices:
f. y = -1/4x + 2/3
g. y = -4x + 2/3
h. y = 2/3x - 5/3
j. y = 2/3x - 11/3

Question 83465This question is from textbook college algebra
: This problem is asking for me to show coordinates, graph my work and to show it. I really don't understand any of this.
Using the formula, , let r = 10%, P = 1, and n = 1 and give the coordinates (t, A) for the points where t = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4. Round your answer to the nearest tenth's place.This question is from textbook college algebra

Question 84288This question is from textbook finite mathmatics
: I feel really stupid asking this basic question but I am having problems understanding how to solve an equation for Y so I can grap[h and figure slope intercept. as an example I will use
2X + 5Y - 3 = 0
If I wanted to solve the equation for Y to graph the line, how do I do this. I have been away from math for over 30 years now and am returing to college. I dont remember any of this and am having problems getting the idea. PLEASE help in any way possible.
