solve this equation by using substitution method.
6x + 3y = 0
-3x + 3y = 9
-------
3y = 3x+9
----
Substitute for "3y" and solve for "x":
6x + 3x+9 = 0
9x = -9
x = -1
-----
Solve for "y":
y = x + 3
y = -1=3
y = 2

we are given the following
6x + 3y = 0
-3x + 3y = 9
solve second equation for y
3x +9 = 3y
y = x + 3
substitute for y in first equation
6x + 3(x+3) = 0
6x + 3x + 9 = 0
9x = -9
x = -1
substitute for x in second equation
-3(-1) +3y = 9
3y = 6
y = 2
answer is x = -1 and y = 2
