Answer by josmiceli(19441)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use the form

and

where
= (x1 , y1)
= (x2 , y2)
(x1 , y1) = (-1 , -7)
(x2 , y2) = (-8 , -2)

now

multiply both sides by (x+1)

multiply both sides by 7

check answer
Does line go through (-1 , -7) and (-8 , -2)?

OK
