Question 84444: Graph the linear equation below by plotting five points. You must choose at least one negative x value. Show your five points as ordered pairs
y= 1/3x - 1

Answer by wallflower(4)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For this just pick a number for x and plug it in to the equation.
X=-6 Then y=1/3(-6)-1 y=-2-1 so y=-3 and you would graph (-6,-3)
another example would be to have x=9 so it would be y=1/3(9)-1 y=3-1 y=2 so you would graph (9,2).
So there are two of your five points including your negative one that you need. Can you figure out the rest? If you need more help just ask.
