Question 810250: find the slope, x- and y- intercepts of the function. y= 5x - 7
Answer by precalc!!!!(2)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Well the formula for a linear equation is y=ax+b where a is your slope, x is any number you plug in (x coordinate) , and b is your y intercept
Here in y=5x+7
Your y int is positive 7 (you can also just plug in zero for x and you also het 7) the cordinate will be (0,7)
Your x intercept you must cahnge y to zero and solve for x : so 0= 5x+7 -7=5x. -7/5=x that will be you x-intercept so the cordinate will be ( -7/5 , 0)
