Question 78694: How do you find percent of increase or decrease?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let's say price = $20
Price is increased to $35
Subtract the original price from the new price to get $15
Divide that difference by original price: 15/20= 75% increase
=========================
Let original price be $20
Price is decreased to $5
Subtrace the original price from the new price to get -$15
Divide that difference by original price to get -15/20=-0.75= 75% decrease
