Hi,

(3,x) 

(2 ,-1)    (x+1)^2 + 1^2 = 13^2

           x^2  + 2x + 1 = 169

               x^2 +2x - 168 = 0

                (x + 14)(x-12) = 0

                 x = -14  0r  x = 12   

Find all the points having an x-coordinate of 3 whose distance from the point (-2, -1) is 13

Pt(3,-14)  and Pt(3,12)
