Hi Ashley,
Find the slope and the y-intercept:
y = x
The slope intercept form of a line is , m=slope and b=y-intercept.
If there is no coefficient of x, the slope is m=1
If there is no b, the y-intercept is (0,0)
It looks like this. It's sometimes called the identity because y=x at all points.
Ashley,
You have another question about x=-9.
I can't graph that because it's not a function.
The slope is undefined, and graphically, it's a vertical line going up and down through x=-9. I left the problem to someone else who may know how to use the draw feature.
Happy Calculating, Ashley!!!
