Question 50775: y = x^2 - 2x + 5, find the vertex, the axis of symmetry, and graph
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y = x^2 - 2x + 5
Rewrite as:
x^2-2x+? = y-5+?
Complete the square as follows:
x^2-2x+1=y-5+1
(x-1)^2=y-4
The vertex is (1,4)
The axis of symmetry was x=1
