Question 48811: 2x + 4y = -8

how do you graph this on a grph i have no clue

Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x+4y=-8 or 4y=-2x+8 or y=-1/2x+2 thus you have a line with a slope of -1/2 that has a y intercept of 2.
Setting y=0 we get an x value of 0=-1/2x+2 or -1/2x=-2 or 1/2x=2 or x=4 which
give you two points for your line (0,2)(4,0) with a slope of -1/2.
