is this system consistent, dependent or inconsistent?
4x+10y=-28
6x+7y=6
----
Look at the slopes:
y = -4/10x - 2.8
y = -6/7x + (6/7)
-----
The slopes are different so the lines meet at one point.
The system is consistent.
