Question 436682: What is the distance between the points (-3,4) and (3,-4)
Answer by mybooksucks(1)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The answer is 10. You plot the points and then draw a triangle. Then use the Pythagorean theorem to solve a^2+b^2 = c^2 (a is the height of the triangle, b is the base and c is the distance between the two points.
The height is 8 and the base is 6
8^2 +6^2 = c^2
64+38 = c^2
100 = c^2
10 = c
