Write the equation of the line x-intercept (12,0) and y-intercept (0,4).
M = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = (4 - 0)/(0 - 12) = 4/-12 = -1/3

so ....

Answer by nik_consult(24)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(12,0) and y-intercept (0,4).
slope, m= - (y-intercept/ x-intercept)
= -(4/12)
= -1/3
sabtitute m = -1/3 and (0,4)into y = mx + c
4=(-1/3)(0) + C
C = 4
equation of the line IS y = (-1/3)x + 4
