Question 424516: The line passing through (-2,y) and (-4,4) is perpendicular to the line passing through (-1,-2) and (4, and -1). Find Y
Answer by sudhanshu_kmr(1152)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

slope of first line = (y - 4)/ 2
slope of second line = -1/ -5 = 1/5

so, (y-4)/2 * (1/5 ) = -1
=> y = -10 + 4 = -6

value of y = -6
