Hi
Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
equation of line with Slope m = (-5/4) and passes thru Pt(5,-5)
y = -5/4x + b |using ordered pair Pt(5,-5) to solve for b
-5 = -25/4 +b
5/4 = b y = -5/4x 5/4
Note: line slants to the left m < 0
