Question 408288: I know that if the the rise or run in the slope is zero, than the slope is undefined, but is it the rise or the run that makes it undefined? Here is my work:
rise: 0 run: 6
0 divided by six is 0, but is that undefined?
Is this slope undefined?
Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If rise/run = 0, then the slope = 0
because rise/run is the definition of slope.
---------------------------
However, if the run = 0, then the slope is
undefined because division by 0 is not allowed
