Hi,
Plotting this equation for a line: 3x-y-1 = 0 on a coordinate grid
3x - y - 1 = 0
3x - 1 = y
Finding ordered pairs for :
3x - 1 = y
x = 0 3*0 - 1 = y y = -1 Pt( 0,-1) on the line
x = 1 3*1 - 1 = 2 y = 2 Pt( 1,2) on the line
x = -1 3*-1 - 1 = -4 y = -4 Pt(-1,-4) on the line
Plotting these points and connecting them with a straight line:
Note: Points reprsented by Pt(x,y) that is the x value is listed first
