Hi
solve the system 3x-y=8 and x+2y=5 by the elimination method
3x-y=8
x+2y=5
6x-2y=16 Multiplying each term on both sides of the equation by 2
x+2y=5
7x = 21
x = 3
solving for y
3x - y = 8
9-8 = y
1 = y
Pt(3,1) is the solution for this sytem
