Question 367768: using elimination to solve the system of equations
2x+y=-7
3x-y=-3

so how would i turn one of these equations into slope y=mx+b form?

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
using elimination to solve the system of equations
2x+y=-7
3x-y=-3
-----
Add the two equations to get:
5x = -10
---
x = -2
---
Substitute and solve for "y":
2(-2) + y = -7
y = -3
-------
Slope-intercept form of each of the two equations:
y = -2x-7
y = 3x+3
