Choose three different values of x, and for each value of x, find the y value that makes the equation true. You can use ANY values of x that you choose, but pick values of x that will make it easy for you to find y.

If you let x = 0, then you will have 0-y = 4, so y = -4.

If you let x = 4, then you will have 4-y=4, so y =0.

If you let x = 5, then you will have 5-y=4, so y = 1.

Remember, you can pick ANY values of x that you want to pick. Remember that when you graph points, there is an x-coordinate and a y-coordinate, and we always put the x number first and the y number second. Also, we ALWAYS graph the x value right or left, and the y number up and down on the graph.

Graph the pairs of numbers. The points we are graphing will be (0,-4), (4,0), and (5,1). Graph these three points on a graph, and it should look like this:
