Answer by benni1013(206) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Starting in the upper right that is quadrant 1 going counterclockwise you get two, three and four.
Quadrant I will be (+,+), Quadrant II will be (-,+), Quadrant three will be
(-,-) and Quadrant IV will be (+,-).
The answer to your first point (-5,3) will be quadrant two since the ordered pair follows the format (-,+). This procedure will help you solve the next two also.
The fourth one is a little different. The answer to this is either quadrant III or IV because (-3y) y>0 is going to equal a negative y number and a real number is any number so the answer to the last one is all quadrants.
