I'm assuming that you meant to write . This can be written as since 'y' and 'f(x)' are really one in the same in this case.


Notice how is in slope-intercept form where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.


So this shows us that the slope is and the y-intercept is . The y-intercept is the point (-2,0).


That's all there is to it.
