Rewrite the equation 2x – 3y = –6 as a function of x
:
2x - 3y = -6
Subtract 2x from both sides
-3y = -2x - 6
Get rid of neg y, multiply equation by -1
3y = 2x + 6
Divide thru by 3
y = x +
y = x + 2
:
f(x) = y
f(x) = x + 2
