Question 251022: Using graph paper, graph the following equation. Then click on the graph until the correct one is displayed.
3x - y - 1 = 0
*I answered this one on my graph but i can't copy and paste it.
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x - y - 1 = 0
If y=0 then 3x-0-1=0
3x=1
x=1/3
(1/3,0)
if x=0 then
3*0-y-1=0
3-y=0
3=y
(0,3)
(0,3) and (0,1)
substituting (0,1)
3x - y - 1 = 0
3(0)-1-1=0
-2=0
(0,1) are not on the line
