We need to show our work on a graph with a Y axis and an X axis, the question is (y = 0.5x +2) this is supposed to be 6th grade math and I'm trying to help my son and I can't even do this. he is supposed to put dots on the graph to represent the question and draw a line through the dots on the graph.
-----------------
It's a linear equation, meaning the graph is a straight line.
Only 2 points are needed to plot a straight line.
Pick 2 values for x, then solve for y.
---------------
y = 0.5x + 2
------------
x.....y
0.....2 --> (0,2)
2.....3 --> (2,3)
Draw the line thru those 2 points.
