You must first find the slope of the given line by solving for y. Add 4x to each side:
-4x + 3y = 12
-4x + 4x + 3y = 4x + 12
3y = 4x + 12

Divide both sides by 3:

The slope of this line is 4%2F3, so the slope of ANY line PARALLEL to this line will also be 4%2F3. So the equation of any line is
