Question 123092: All parallel lines have the same slope, and not all systems of equations have common solution. Is that true or false?
Answer by johnnico6426(16)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Lines that are PARALLEL TO EACH OTHER have the same slope. For example, y= x + 5 and y = x+ 7 are parallel to each other. Lines that are parallel to each other does not have any common solutions because they will never intersect, regardless of what point in the coordinate system you choose the evaluate it.
