Graph the equation using slope and y-intercept method.
1. y=2/3x +1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do it in three steps.
(1)  Find y-intercept.
     For it, substitute x= 0 into the equation and get y= 1.
     Thus y-intercept is the point (0,1).
     Draw this point and call it A.
(2)  Then use the slope. From the given equation, the slope is 2/3.
     From the y-intercept point (0,1), go 3 units horizontally to the right parallel to x-axis
                                      and 2 units vertically   up parallel to y-axis.
     You will arrive to the point (3,3).
     Draw this point and call it B.
(3)  Using a straightedge and a pencil, connect two points A and B by the pencil.
     It will give you the desired line.
All these instructions, from the point of view of their complexity,
are like the multiplication table (the same basic level) in drawing lines through two points.
