Question 1014956: Y+ 4 = -4 (x-2)
What is the slope of the given line?
What point does this line pass through, which is the basis of this equation?
Rewrite this equation in slope-intercept form

The basic linear formula passing through the point (h,k) is
y - k = m(x-k), where m is the slope of the line.
Thus, the slope of the given line is -4.
The basis point would be the point (2, -4).
Now y+4 = -4x +8, by the distributive property.
So y = -4x +4, after transposition of the constant. This is the linear equation in slope-intercept form.
