how to graph this system 2x+y=4 and x-y=5 with a solution
-------------
They're 2 straight lines.
2x+y=4
y = -2x + 4
Pick 2 or more values for x and find y.
eg,
x = 0, y = 4 --> (0,4)
---
Plot the 2 points, draw a line thru them.
--------
Do the other equation.
The intersection of the 2 lines is the solution to the system of equations.
