Question 142500: when doing this problem can you use the cross multiply method or do you use the LCM/LCD method. If you use the "cross multiply" method, you must use the PRODUCT of the two denominators for your LCD!! Sometimes this method is convenient, especially when the LCD is actually the product of the two denominators anyway. Sometimes the other method is easier.
