Question 483783: The points (-3,-1) and (9,4) are the endpoints of the diameter of a circle. Find the length of the radiu of the circle.
I have used the midpoint equation to get (3,3/2) as the mid point. So now I was using the standard equation of a circle to try an get the radius but I seem to be doing something wrong. The answer in my book says it is 6.5 but I keep getting 6.25 or 6.2. I would Rely like to see all the steps taken to get the answer. Can u help me?

Question 486044: Find an equation for a circle satisfying the given conditions:
The points (7, 13) and (-3, -11) are at the ends of a diameter.
The answer is: (x-2)^2 + (y-1)^ = 169
I need to know HOW to get this answer... I can get all the way to achieving the first aspect of the answer, but I can't seem to get the answer 169... I end up with 26?

Question 486808: A circular fountain has a diameter of 10 meters. How many square shaped tiles are needed to cover the bottom if each tile is 1 square decimeter?
Here's my answer, but I may have put the decimal in the wrong place:
100dm A= 3.14(50)2
A= 3.14(2500)
A= 7850 dm2 x $.69
Total cost= $5416.50
That seems really high for the cost. Should it be $541.65? Did I forget a step? Did I convert the meters to decimeters incorrectly?

Question 504167: Tarry is a farmer. She decides to make a circular pen for her sheep. She uses all of the fencing she has to make the fence (i.e. circumference =100) She then decides to make a square enclosure inside the circle, so that the corners of the square just touch the circle. What would be the squares perimeter?
She then decides to make a square enclosure around the outside of the circle. What would the outside squares perimeter be?
I found the radius of the circle=15.92.
I found the diameter of the circle=31.8.
The area of the circle 795.
But im lost on getting any information of the square inside the circles.
My thoughts on a diameter is diagnol line inside the circle where it can also go straight across and i think that is whats throwing me off.
My guess id the perimeter of the inner square is 10.
Please help.
