Question 92477: Let triangle ABC be an equilateral triangle with side length "s". Estimate the percent by which the area of the circle circumscribed about triangle ABC exceeds the area of the triangle.
So far I have recalled that the distance from the circumcenter of the triangle to a vertex is equal to the length of the radius of the circumscribed circle... but I haven't a clue where to go from here.
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
None of the sides is a radius of the circumcribing circle.
You are only asked to "estimate" the area, so go ahead
and make a good guess.
