The wheel of a certain car is 61.0 cm in diameter. Assuming that there was no slipping, how many turns did the wheel make in covering a distance of 2.3 km.?
:
Convert 61 cm to meters = .61 meters diameter
Convert 2.3 km to meters= 2300 meters
:
Find the circumference in meters
C = .61*pi
C = 1.91637 meters
:
Distance = = 1200.2 turns
