Question 77215: The radius of a circle is represented by 3x+2, and the length of the diameter
is 22 centimeters. Find the value of x, in centimeters.

Answer by THANApHD(104)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

C = 2πr
but r = 3x+2
and π = 22/7(approx)
so 2π(3x+2)= 22
2 x22/7 x(3x+2) = 22
2(3x+2) = 22/22 x 7
6x + 4 = 7
6x = 3

x = 3/6 = 0.5 cm
