Answer by rothauserc(4718)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Volume(V) of a ball is 4/3 * pi * radius^3
V of new ball = 4/3 *pi *5^3 + 4/3 *pi * 4^3 +4/3 *pi *3^3 (radius is 1/2 diameter)
factor 4/3 and pi from equation
V of new ball = 4/3*pi*(5^3 +4^3 + 3^3)
V of new ball = 4/3*pi*216 = 905.14
notice that 6^3 = 216, so the diameter of the new ball is 6*2 = 12cm

Three solid spherical balls of diameters 10, 8 and 6cm Respectively are melted into one solid ball. what will be the diameter of new ball......?
------------------
10^3 + 8^3 + 6^3 = 12^3
--> 12 cm

respectively? What's the purpose of that?
The diameters are not related to anything else.
It's just a propensity to try to make others think you're clever by adding words that contribute nothing.
"Current" is a good example.

Three solid spherical balls of CURRENT diameters 10, 8 and 6cm Respectively are melted into one CURRENT solid ball
