If the radius of a circle is r then the area of the circle = pi%2Ar%5E2 where pi=22%2F7+=+3.14 approx.

Example:
If the diameter of a circle is 14 cm, then the radius is r=14%2F2=7 cm. The area of the circle = pi%2A7%5E2+=+%2822%2F7%29%2A7%5E2+=+22%2A7+=+154 sq. cm.
