Question 608778: This is my equation, (x-4)^2+(y-2)^2=196. I determine its center which was (4, 2). Then it asked me to determine the radius, which was 14. We then had to find two points on the circle, but I do not know how to find the points can you please help.
Thanks Alex & Mom

Answer by scott8148(6628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
any point on the circle is a distance of 14 from (4,2)

the easiest ones to find are on the diameters that are parallel to the x and y axes
___ they will have the same x (or y) coordinate as the center
___ and the other y (or x) coordinate will be ± 14 from the center point
