.
since diameter = 2r
answer = 2(3.192) = 6.38 miles

The formula for the area of a circle is
+A+=+pi%2Ar%5E2+ so,
+32+=+pi%2Ar%5E2+
+r%5E2+=+32%2Fpi+
+r+=+sqrt%28+32%2Fpi+%29+
+r+=+sqrt%28+10.1859+%29+
+r+=+3.1915+
The diameter is twice the radius, so
diameter is +2%2A3.1915+=+6.3831+ miles
