If the diameter of a circle is 27 meters, then the radius is 27/2 = 13.5 meters

So r = 13.5

Start with the area of a circle formula.

Plug in .

Replace with (note: Use more digits of to get better accuracy).

Square to get .

Multiply and to get (this figure is approximate).

Round to the nearest tenth.

So the area is roughly 572.6 square meters.
