a window has the shape of a rectangle with a half circle on top.
the rectangle has a width of 3 feet and a height of 7 feet.
find the perimeter and the area of the window. use pi=3.14 where necessary.
:
The width of the window will be the diameter of the half circle
therefore half the circumference = *3.14*3 = 4.71 ft
Perimeter = 2(7) + 3 + 4.71 = 21.71 ft
:
The area (r = 1.5)
Area of the half circle = *3.14*1.5^2 = 3.5325
Area of the rectangle = 7 * 3 = 21
total area; 3.5325 + 21 = 24.5325 sq/ft
