Question 419405: using 3.14 for pi and r = 9in c = ? (rounded to the nearest hundredth)

Assuming that you are looking for the circumference of a circle, you can use the formula:
C = 2 * pi * r
which is your case = 2 * (3.14159) * 9 = 56.54862 which, when rounded to the hundredth's place = 56.55 inches
Note that if you are rounding to the hundredth's place (which is the second digit to the right of the decimal), you will need to specify the answer to (at least) the third digit to the right of the decimal to determine if you need to round up or down.
