IN A CIRCLE OF RADIUS 6 INCHES THE LENGTH OF THE ARC OF A SECTOR IS 6 PIE INCHES. WHAT IS THE AREA OF THE SECTOR?

Let S - the arc length
r - the radius of the circle
A = rS/2
= 6(6pi)/2
A = 18pi sq. inches ---answer
Note: it is pi the Greek word, not a pie, the dessert
