There is a circle drawn with a vertical diameter. there is a chord drawn about half way down the bottom half of the diameter. and XC is from the middle of the chord to C at the bottom of the circle

AB IS A HORIZONTAL CHORD OF 16 LENGTH.X IS MID POINT OF AB
CXOD IS A VERTICAL DIAMETER.TO FIND CX?...IF SO THEN....
OC=34/2=17
IN RIGHT TRIANGLE OAX
OA^2=OX^2+AX^2
17^2=OX^2+8^2
OX^2=17^2-8^2=289-64=225
OX=15
HENCE XC=OC-OX=17-15=2
