Since BD is a diameter of the circle (as indicated by the center point through which BD passes, triangle ABD is a right triangle with angle DAB as the right angle. That means that angle ADB and angle ABD are complementary. Futhermore, the measure of an arc is the same as the measure of the subtended angle.
