Question 298989: I am a Mom I can not figure out how to do the area of a sector of a circle I have a central angle of 140 and a radius of 6 in and I know the answer is 43.96 but I can not do the math to make it come out to 43 so I can't explain to my child how to do this...so frustrated please help me

Area of a circle is pi*r^2
3.14 is pi
r=6
what part of the circle do we want? 140/360
(36*3.14)*140/360=
36/360=1/10
140/10=14
3.14*14=43.96
