Question 271145: can you please help me to solve this question?
a wire is bent into a circular shape its circumfrence is 88cm. find its radius and area. if the wire is bent into a square, what will each side measure? which shape encloses more area??
plz plz plz help

Answer by Greenfinch(383)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If circumference is 88cm, radius is 88/(2 x pi) = 14 cm
Area is 14^2 x pi = 615.7 cm
If made into a square, side is 22 cm, so area is 22^2 = 484
Circle encloses larger area.
