CD is tangent to circle Z at (1,7). If Z has coordinates (5,2), find the slope of CD.
------------
Draw a circle with center at Z(5,2) and perimeter passing thru W which has
coordinates (1,7).
------------------------
Draw a radius from Z to W.
Draw a tangent at (1,7) that is perpendicular to ZW.
--------------------
The slope of ZW is (7-5)/(1-5) = 2/-4 = -1/2
-----------------------
Then the slope of CD must be 2 since it is perpendicular to ZW
