A ball is shot STRAIGHT UP from a cannon that is located 70 feet to the right of the base of John’s ferris wheel. Who will be closer to the ball? That is, which person has a shorter minimum distance to the ball? (The ferris wheels start turning counterclockwise at the same time that the ball is shot from the cannon). Find the equations.
