1)  Switch sides to: 

2)  Get the Xs on the LEFT side, and the constant on the RIGHT

3)  Complete the square on the Xs

4)  Get the equation in the CONIC FORM of a parabola with a VERTICAL axis, or in the form: 

5)  Compare the 2 equations to determine the coordinates of the focus, which are: (h, k + p).

    You should know what I'm talking about, but if you feel you don't, then you need to open a book, or check online.
